Transition to UX/ UI Design from Graphic Design
UX/ UI design is an excellent opportunity to start a new career while also continuing to use your existing skillset for graphic designers.
If you’re an ex-illustrator, animator, painter, photographer, or even dabble in design at all, your skillset is extremely valuable here. If you’re coming from this field, you should already have a lot of experience with digital design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or AutoCAD, and those skills will easily translate over into popular UI design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch to name a few.
You’ll also have the experience of presenting to stakeholders or showing off your work, which is extremely important if you want to justify the design decisions you’ve made
